Kettle Collective has had two projects selected to be part of the prestigious Royal Scottish Academy (RSA) Open Exhibition of Architecture.

The first project selected for display in the exhibition will be The Ripple Retreat, located on the banks of Loch Venachar in Scotland. Charity, It’s Good 2 Give!, is the driver for the project for the purpose-built respite house for young people and their families affected by cancer. Lynne McNicoll, Founder and Chair at It’s Good 2 Give said, “We know the Ripple Retreat is special and we are honoured to have it displayed in this exhibition. We are very proud of Kettle Collective and fortunate to have their design team working to help us achieve our dream for young cancer patients and their families.”

The Solar Innovation Centre, a sustainable research and education facility will be the second Kettle Collective project to be displayed at the RSA exhibition. The project is located in the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park in Dubai has been commissioned by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA). The Solar Innovation Centre recently became an award winning architectural design winning Best Future Leisure and Tourism building design at the 2014 Cityscape Awards for Emerging Markets.

“We are delighted The Ripple Retreat will be included in the exhibition since it is small but important project,” said Tony Kettle.

The work will be housed in the Edinburgh gallery and displayed to the public from the 29th of November 2014 until the 20th of January 2015.
