We are delighted to announce that Kettle Collective has had a project shortlisted for the Best Future Building of the Year for the 2014 Leaf Awards.

The shortlisted project is called The Joost van der Westhuizen Centre for Neurodegeneration, a building to support both the South African community and assist the world community in trying to find a cure for neurodegeneration. The building is, not only to be iconic, memorable and fitting for a world-class sports icon but also offer inspiration and hope to sufferers. It is provide open clear laboratory space, therapy and gym facilities with the option of including a cafeteria.

Kettle Collective’s mission was to create a building that looks to offer hope in a dynamic form to promote physical and mental wellbeing to sufferers of neurodegeneration. To read more about the design of the centre please visit the project page.

We have been informed that a record number of projects were entered for the awards this year so we are particularly pleased that this project has been accepted.
