James Nicol
Associate
James qualified as an Architect in 2017 and has since honed his expertise across a diverse range of residential and commercial projects, managing them from concept to completion.
He spent two years on a high-end residential development on the remote Isle of Jura, working independently on-site during the final year of construction. Following this, he led the design management for four hotels, three of which were built simultaneously, overseeing the process through the construction phase.
At Kettle Collective, James has led multi-disciplinary teams on large-scale masterplans in Saudi Arabia, mixed-use developments in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and residential projects across Scotland. Notable projects include Warefa, Saadiyat Grove, and Azizi Venice.
James thrives in complex, high-pressure environments, bringing strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills to the challenges of large-scale development.
