Xinyi Li
Landscape Architect
Xinyi graduated from the University of Sheffield with a Master of Arts degree in Landscape Architecture in 2016, she has also completed a Master’s degree in Interior Spatial Design at Chelsea College of Arts, UAL.
Xinyi’s degree major project ‘Re-mind Garden’ in the Italian Hospital of London explored how spatial design and exposure to urban green space can impact mental health and promote general well-being. It was awarded Winner by Architects for Health Student Design Awards 2018 due to its innovative concept and its sensitivity to the needs of staff and patients design users for the Italian Hospital.
After graduation, she has worked in practice both in the UK and Dubai, and worked as a city planner in Aberdeen City Council till 2021. Xinyi’s experience ranges from university master planning and wall garden regeneration design, to landscape design associated with high streets, post-industrial sites and mixed use residential developments.
