The DEWA Solar Innovation Centre wins Sustainable Project of the Year at the Middle East Consultant Awards 2017. Sustainable Project of the Year "recognises projects that take advantage of sustainable building materials and processes to create a building or structure that is energy efficient and green-compliant, with minimal impact on the environment". Kettle Collective's Regional Director MENA, Tony Archibold, was present at the awards dinner which took place at the Ritz Carlton JBR, Dubai, UAE.
The award comes on the back of previous awards for the Solar Innovation Centre focused on sustainability including the Sustainable Project of the Year at the Middle East Architect Awards 2014 and 2016, and Kettle Collective being awarded the SEPA One Planet Award at the Scottish Business Awards 2016, highlighting Kettle Collective's dedication to a sustainable approach in architecture and design.
The Solar Innovation Centre will be an education and convention destination, promoting the sustainable future development of the Emirate of Dubai, and will showcase the Solar Park as an important hub in Dubai’s Integrated Energy Strategy.
