The Chelsea Flower Show 2018

Lauren Taylor and Dominika Henzel from Kettle Collective Landscape Team with metalwork gifts from ArtFe.

Recently our landscape team were invited to partner with ArtFe for their entry for a trade stand at the Chelsea Flower Show 2018. Running from the 22nd to the 26th May 2018, ArtFe and the Kettle Collective team’s entry will be at the event at the Royal Hospital Chelsea Showground in Central London.

The proposed tradestand is to be realised as a Scottish Garden – a romantic and attractive space that the ArtFe artworks can come alive in. Featured in the garden are a number of ArtFe’s sculptures, with the main body of the space being given to the full-scale horse with cart. Key to the design was the idea of drawing people in, making them feel welcome and engaged with the artworks. The team wanted to reflect ArtFe’s delicate yet robust work, with soft pink and purple planting contrasting with tough corrugated iron panelling and rustic reclaimed stone surfaces.

Our team received some beautiful metalwork gifts from ArtFe for their work on the project including two roses and a traditional Scottish thistle.

During the Ripple Retreat project, we had the pleasure of working with ArtFe an Edinburgh based metalwork artist who creates bespoke sculptures from metal, wood and glass. One of these sculptures now takes pride of place in the Ripple Retreat garden on the banks of Loch Venachar.

Dominika from the Kettle Collective’s Landscape Team said: “We are so pleased to be a part of such a prestigious event, especially after attending and admiring the show over a number of years”.
