Tony Kettle visited the Renfrew Bridge construction, it will be the first opening road bridge across the River Clyde - a £117million project led by Renfrewshire Council.
The Renfrew Bridge will serve as both a physical and symbolic link, celebrating the union of two communities that will surely benefit from stronger connections. It will establish a gateway and a destination, encouraging more people to come together to enjoy the riverbank and appreciate their shared history and rich cultural heritage.
This will be a unique opportunity to celebrate the distinct qualities of this place, to remind people of its rich industrial legacy and the globally recognized engineering and construction expertise present on both banks of the Clyde. What better way to honour this heritage than with an innovative new moving structure.
