Mutrah Heights
The Mutrah Heights masterplan consists of a 4 star urban Hotel with associated Serviced apartments, gathered around a new Souq as an extension of the existing Souq in the old town of Mutrah. Also included are apartments for sale and space for an additional boutique hotel. The souq connects all parts of the layout and provides a shaded pedestrian route and grand arrival spaces. At its centre is a new plaza which forms the heart of the development, enjoying views over the old town past the watch tower of the fort. An outdoor amphitheatre is located here to allow outdoor events and open air cinema in cooler months. It is also envisaged that it could form the venue for weddings under a shaded marquee.

At one end of the souq is a mosque plaza with a new mosque and minaret, enjoying close connection to the second fort on the hill, and overlooking the valley below. Access lanes behind the retail connect all parts of the design with a service road directly beneath the souk mall providing access to basement car parking.
The contours of the site have been analysed and the distribution of the accommodation takes account of the most beneficial areas to build upon whilst also maximising the value of this important site.
