Tony Kettle Visits Lakhta Centre Site

On day two of the Saint Petersburg trip, Tony and Colin headed to the Lakhta Centre site. This was an incredible experience for our team, who have been involved with the tower since it’s inception. Tony spoke at the IV International Spatial Forum, alongside Alexander Bobkov and Sergey Nikorovov, marking the completion of the towers facade. ISD Forum Saint Petersburg, Russia 2018

Yesterday, Tony and Colin flew to Saint Petersburg, Russia for a trip to see the progress of our Gazprom Lakhta Centre project. While in Russia, Tony Kettle was asked to speak at the ISD Forum in Saint Petersburg on the 18th of June. He was invited to speak in the closing session of the day, titled “Petersburg 2103: A Retrospective Of The Future”. Lakhta Centre Becomes Europe’s Tallest Building

Tony Kettle’s Lakhta Centre, currently under construction, has now overtaken Europe’s tallest building to become the tallest building in Europe. Due to be completed at 462 metres tall, the Lakhta Centre will be the 11th tallest tower in the world upon completion. Lakhta Tower Model

Inspired by energy in water — the Lakhta Tower’s form is derived from the changing shape, light and texture of the River Neva. The five-sided tower twists as it rises to delicately touch the sky.
