Usama Al Kindi is a graduate of the Edinburgh College of Art and the University of Edinburgh. Following his Master’s Degree Show, his work was reviewed by the Architect’s Journal and was nominated for the Rowan Anderson, Silver Medal Award by the Royal Institute of Architects in Scotland. He was also selected to exhibit at the Royal Scottish Academy ‘New Contemporaries’ exhibition in 2015.

Usama’s recent experience with residential projects in Muscat contribute a local perspective to Kettle Collective’s current work in the Middle Eastern region. Being an Arabic speaker and an Omani national, Usama also brings vital language skills and regional knowledge to the team.

As a practicing artist, Usama incorporates an additional attitude to thinking about architecture. He wishes to to progress into a profession which allows him expand the relationship between architecture and art and explore the cusp between the two.
